Hello, and welcome to my blog. My name is Dink and I'll be your host for this blog which will tell the stories of my knitting experience, or currently, lack there of.
My knitting life came to be, as a result of a birthday gift from my boyfriend. I have talking about doing it, but never took action into learning how. He did all the leg work (that's what men are for right?) and found a local yarn shop in Anaheim, CA and bought me some yarn, needles, a beginners book, and 5 knitting lessons. I began knitting on March 8, 2007.
Since spending time with 2 pointy sticks & yarn, I have knit the standard garter stitch scarf, which I made from Lion Brand's Wool-Ease Chunky, in "Wheat". I ended up giving it to my mother who loved it. And considering my family lives in the MidWest, she'll use it to keep warm, since she's always cold.

ade out of Micro Chic yarn. From there, I have started making a few dishcloths, and currently have a Booga Bag on my needles. I'm trying to keep up with the Jones's since I've been reading about many people knitting that bag, and I want to run with the In Crowd.
Well, that's my knitting in a nutshell. Nothing amazing, nothing fancy, just me, yarn, and pointy sticks.
